In just one month on Saturday 9th January 2016, the Bloody Mary will be back for another magical day at Queen Mary Sailing Club in west London. The event (which is also the 6th leg of the GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series) again hopes to attract over 400 sailors to make this the largest pursuit race in the UK and probably the world.
The Bloody Mary is open to all dinghy classes with a PY number equal to or lower than the International Topper and to selected keelboat classes. The first start is scheduled for 12 noon with the slowest boats starting first and the faster boats starting progressively later and the race lasts 150 minutes.
With an entry limit of 350 boats, enter early to avoid disappointment. Online entry will close at midnight Wednesday 6th January and entries will be accepted on the day from 8:30am until 12:00 or until the entry limit is reached. Don’t leave it too late!
To get a flavour of the event, watch last year’s winners Tom Gillard and Richard Anderton in a Fireball giving a great insight into what it takes to win.
