The Tiger Dinner on Saturday night will be held this year at Rutland Sailing Club from 7.30 pm .

The cost of a ticket is £15 per person with £5 of this going to the John Merricks Sailing Trust.

 

Dress code is smart casual.

 

Simple fare of Lincolnshire sausages, mashed potato, peas and onion gravy will be followed by apple pie and custard. A vegetarian alternative is available.

 

A proportion of the profits from the bar will also go to the JMST and it is hoped to have Everards help to expand this proportion.

 

The Guest of Honour will be Rod Carr CBE, ex CEO of the RYA and the man responsible for the ‘field of play’ at the 2012 Olympic regatta. He will be talking about his experiences  covering 20 years of the Olympics as well as being on hand as a Trustee of the Trust to answer enquiries from those young sailors seeking financial support.

 

In addition, it is hoped to have a representative from Everards Brewery to present the new  TONY EVERARD TROPHY  to the leading boat after racing on Saturday at the dinner.

 

Finally, significant items will be auctioned and a raffel held to further fill the JMST coffers.
