Datchet Flyer – 2 days of racing and a party
SailRacer Tracking, Festive Partying and Accommodation Package
The inaugural Datchet Flyer. Sponsored by the Badger Brewery, with its namesake ‘Flyer’ Ale, this is going to be an event with a party atmosphere – and much more fun than Christmas shopping!
The Datchet Flyer is a brand new event within the GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series, scheduled for 14th and 15th December 2013. Bringing together the best of winter sailing and Christmas festivities, the Flyer also hosts the SailRacer Christmas Ball amidst 2 days of handicap and pursuit racing on Queen Mother Reservoir, overlooked by Windsor Castle.
All boats racing will be fitted with SailRacer Tracker units with the action streamed live via the internet and available to analyse after racing. All those less-hardy souls will be able to watch the action from the warmth of their own home or clubhouse. The ‘Flyer’ will consist of three handicap races on Saturday, scored on average laps of the same course to enable an overall set of results to be generated. In traditional Winter Series style the Sunday will feature a long distance pursuit race.
The Christmas Ball is the perfect excuse to let your hair down with a black tie and posh frocks dress code and disco after the meal. SailRacer have secured hotel rooms at the nearby Travelodge and can offer a fantastic offer price for the party package as a top-up on the entry fee.
Single Party package £65:
3 course Christmas meal with coffee on Saturday night, full English breakfast at the club on Sunday morning and nearby Travelodge accommodation (single) for Saturday night, including parking.
Double party package £95
3 course Christmas meal with coffee on Saturday night for 2, full English breakfast for 2 at the club on Sunday morning and nearby Travelodge accommodation (double or twin) for Saturday night, including parking.

Further meal tickets are available separately priced at £25. Any Class Association wishing to use this event to host their own Christmas party is more than welcome and table bookings will be taken on request.
