SailRacer is delighted to announce, a new partnership with the award-winning sailboat racing simulator, SailX.com, and our first virtual regatta, the ‘Virtual GJW Direct SailFest 2013’.
For those who are not familiar with it, SailX is a cutting-edge (free) online simulation environment that enables users from all over the world to race virtual sailboats against each other in real-time and on short courses. Racing on SailX is fast & furious (each race only 6-8mins long) and provides fun and valuable race practice for all - from total beginners to Olympians.

The ‘Virtual GJW Direct SailFest 2013’ will take place over three-weeks starting Monday August 5th and concluding on Saturday and Sunday of SailFest 2013 (August 24th & 25th, Bank Holiday weekend). In an exciting blend of virtual and real worlds, SailRacer will host the final two days worth of racing in this virtual regatta, ‘live’ on the big screen in Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy in order to bring all parties together online, to decide the final ranking. Some great prizes will be up for grabs including a SailRacer GPS tracking system.
