Saturday, July 27th - it's a tune-up day of the 8mR Worlds 2013 in Helsinki
It was a very sunny and warm morning in Helsinki. In HSS club the sailors were anxious to go to the sea, but there was no wind... The sailors were just waiting and enjoying the weather and great company in the harbor. The spirit was high and mood was great!
After waiting few hours the Race Committee went to the sea and started with the starting process around midday. The first start was given around 2 p.m. The race was already started but heavy sea fog was setting on the course. After racing about ten minutes Race Committee was forced to abandon the race due to heavy fog. All boats were waiting until 3 p.m., but no changes - the fog was still there, the Race Committee abandoned all racing for today and all the boats came back to ashore.
There will be a Salmon & Wine Party hosted by Société Nautique de Genève at 6 p.m. in HSS Club.
