HSS boatshed burned down late Tuesday (11 June)night. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the Police. All of the eights based in HSS survived, but many lost sails and equipment that they kept in the shed in the fire. The accident will not affect the upcoming Worlds to great extent, as the Club house was not damaged.

The season’s first race the RRegatta (with two R’s) will take place this weekend in Pentala with record 10 boats registered, including the World Cup-holder Lafayette. Murdoch McKillop’s Lafayette arrived on last Saturday and will be practicing in Helsinki before the Worlds.
