Dr. Andi Lochbrunner’s 100 year old ELFE II was the first of the First Rules to register to the upcoming Worlds in Helsinki.

Dr Andi Lochbrunner has sailed eights since 1964 starting on Bayern II owned by his Club in Lindau.In 1985 Andi acquired his ELFE II and has beautifully restored her over the years as well as actively raced her. Helsinki will be the 9th international regatta for ELFE II. Dr. Andi Lochbrunner says ”Since 1977, at my first visit in Hanko,Finland with my Finn-dinghy, I am feeling a strong desire to sail in the Scandinavians. 2008 we made a sailing trip to Helsinki on a bigboat and I decided to come back to this wonderful islands and waters in the Helsinki archipelagos. Now it comes true and the ELFE crew is looking forward to a fantastic week of racing and community together with the great Eight-Metre-family in the home port of Julia, our Class Secretary.
