Held on shore

Day 3 sees the return of the sunshine to Hayling Island but the breezes have built over the morning so far.

It is a bright, fresh sunny morning as the Laser Masters World Championships competitors assemble at Hayling Island Sailing Club to prepare on schedule for what could be the second day of racing. The race teams have been on the water from early to monitor the wind conditions. Recently there has been over 20 knots with an awkward, frothy choppy sea and so the feeling of the race committees is to hold the sailors on shore with the AP flag up. The forecast for the day is for W'ly winds backing to the WSW between 19-22 kts but with gusts of 25-27kts.
