Three good days in a row?

Sunshine and light to moderate breezes for the third day of racing at the Laser World Championships.

The fleets for both the Laser Standard World Championships and the Laser Junior World Championships went afloat on schedule this morning heading out for a midday start sequence on both course areas.

The forecast for the day promises ENE breezes of between 6-10knots, progressively backing to ESE as the thermal effects kick in, with up to 12 at times. Around the Hayling Island club this morning we have been seeing up to 11 or 12 knots and so there does seem to be every chance of another couple of decent races, keeping the championships on target.

High water is just before five this evening.

In the Laser open standard fleet it will be a tough day for the overall leader Luka Radelic (CRO) after he appears to have spent his discard early with a 42nd in Race 3. Michael Bullot (NZL) has stayed pretty consistent with a 13th as his discard, lying with the same points tally, 8, as Paul Goodison (GBR)
