The breeze has settled back to a more useful Westerly, the sun is out and warming up the Laser Radial World Championships regatta site and racing is scheduled for a imminent warning signal.
After a long morning and afternoon waiting around the Scottish Sailing Insititute at Largs Sailing Club the weather has cleared now and the strong winds have subisded enough to allow proposed time guns for the Women and Men to go around 1700hrs.
As far as it looks from the shore, then the wait looks like it will be worth it.
The late afternoon Clyde is a picture of beaten silver and the W'ly wind is now around 15-20 knots, having dropped away from the consistent 22-25knots on the Women's area and more on the Men's area, both lying up to the north of Great Cumbrae island.
So the stage is set, the sun is out and finally drying up the site and warming things up. Let battle commence!
