Notes to Editors;
Stand Up Paddle Boarding continues as the world’s fastest growing watersport, otherwise known as SUP. While the perception of the sport is that of one carried out in surf, 80 % of SUP activity is actually on flat water ways such as rivers, harbours etc. What sets SUP apart from all other sports is that its participation is split evenly between females and males.
The Round Hayling Island Windsurf Race, Stand Up Paddle and Open Canoe Board Challenge is an event open to everyone, aged 18 and over. There are three challenges that include both men and women. The event consists of a 4 mile race, 8.5 mile race and a 14 mile challenge.
Restrictions apply
* Board size - only 12'6 and 14' boards can do the 14 mile event
* Any board size can enter any other event
