After a delayed start and only 6 kts of breeze, three races were completed for both the boys and girls. Francisco Saubidet Birkner (ARG) leads the boys taking two bullets in the last two races. Lucie PIANAZZA (FRA), 2014 World Champion opened her assault on the Youth Olympics with a consistent scoreline of 2,3,4

The Youth Olympic Games brings 28 sports together in a unique multi-sport event for young athletes who are given a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in high-level sporting competitions. For sailing, 2014 sees the use of the Techno 293 class for windsurfing, with boys and girls fleets.
