Rick Tomlinson official photographer for J/80 and J/70 UK Nationals

Previously official photographer at Volvo Ocean Race

The J/80 UK Class Association is proud to announce that it has secured the services of world-renowned photographer Rick Tomlinson for the 2013 UK National Championships hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron in June.

Based in Cowes, the host town for the event, Rick Tomlinson holds an impressive portfolio which includes footage from the Whitbread Round the World Race and the America’s Cup. He has twice been appointed official photographer for the Volvo Ocean race.

J/80 Class Secretary Mark Cockrill commented; ‘It's fantastic news that Rick has agreed to work with the class, his photos are renowned all over the world and to have the opportunity to get him to capture the class at the home of British yachting in the Solent is going to be magical.’

Entries are open for the combined J/80 and J/70 National Championships, an event that promises to be the one of the highlights of the 2013 season.

Once the regatta has finished it will be possible for competitors to purchase a CD of Rick's images of their boat.
