Royal Yacht Squadron

Founded in 1815, the Royal Yacht Squadron remains one of the most prestigious yacht clubs in the world. The clubhouse is located in in Cowes Castle on the Isle of Wight. The club’s patron is Queen Elizabeth II and the club’s Admiral is Prince Philip.

The club began conducting organised racing as part of their annual regatta on the Isle of Wight, which is now known today as Cowes Week.
