Delta Lloyd Regatta - 21st - 25th May

This year's regatta is being held at the Medemblik Regatta Center. The center was opened in 1999 and has remained since as one of the world's top sailing venues, hosting National and World championships every year as well as the 24 Hour Race for yachts.

Editions of the Delta Lloyd Regatta (Also called the Holland Regatta) have been running since 2005, implemented after the end of the SPA Regatta taking place. The Delta Lloyd Regatta pioneered many innovations in the world of competitive sailing such as separate classes for women, awards of prize money to competitors and using shorter courses to allow for more races to take place.

Since 2008, this prestigious sailing event has been named the Delta Lloyd Regatta. In 2004 we said goodbye to our twenty yearlong main sponsor SPA, who had given the name SPA Regatta. The first Dutch regatta took place in 1985, and through the years became one of world’s best Olympic Sailing regatta’s with over 1.100 participants from more than 50 countries.
