Race day four at WPNSA with the breeze expected to build to 30-35 knots by this afternoon
It’s the penultimate day of the Sail for Gold Regatta today (Wednesday 12 June) with an average 18-22 knots with gusts of up 25 knots across Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay this morning, with the breeze expected to build to 30-35 knots by the afternoon.
The British Sailing Team currently lead seven of their respective class while a further two are in medal contention at this third stage of the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup.
The RS: X Windsurfer 8.5 and 9.5, 49er and 49erFX are scheduled to complete four races, the Nacra 17, Paralympic 2.4mR and Sonar will do three, all inside Portland Harbour.
Out in Weymouth Bay the Laser and Laser Radial are set to do three while the Finn class are scheduled to complete two races.
