Sail for Gold Regatta Day 1

The Sail for Gold Regatta kicks off today at WPNSA with day one bringing spells of sunshine and an average 12 – 14 knots

Race Course area A located inside Portland Harbour will see racing from the RS: X Windsurfer 8.5 and 9.5 and the Paralympic 2.4mR and Sonar fleets.

The Laser, Laser Radial and Finn sailors will battle it out on Race Course area E while Race Course area C will welcome action from the 49er and the two new Olympic classes for Rio 2016 – the women’s 49er FX and the mixed multi-hull Nacra 17 class.

All classes are scheduled to complete three races except for the 49er, 49er FX and windsurfers who are scheduled to complete four.
