Day 3 - another frustrating day
Day 3 Report
Another light wind day forecast for day three saw the fleets launched and race 5 started but abandoned and the fleet was sent ashore to await the wind. At 14:30 the Race Officer called the fleet afloat again for another attempt at race 5. Wind was still light.
After a number of attempts the Race Officer started the 5th race and the Yellow and blue fleets well underway when the wind died once more and reluctantly it was decided to abandon the race and return the fleet to the shore.
The Race Committee met to decide whether the qualifying series should continue or move straight into the Championship series and after lengthy discussion agreed that the Championship series should start as planned on Wednesday.
